Prairie Spirit Board Goals 2013-2014

1. The Board will continue to provide programming supports for all students.
2. The Board will develop a budget that addresses the priorities of the Division.
3. The Board will enhance and expand its succession plan.
4. Prairie Spirit School Division will have a public that is informed and knowledgeable about providing quality programming in its schools

Other Follow-up Actions for Consideration

1. The Board needs to continue to monitor the programming of colony schools.
2. The Board will continue to address the need for self-evaluation and for the evaluation of its two main employees, the Secretary-Treasurer and the Superintendent.
3. The Board will consider all opportunities for professional development, especially for those trustees with full time jobs. (Possible topics: ethical leadership, conflict resolution).
4. Reconfiguration of schools must continue to be on the Board’s “radar.”  It is important to have and to share information regarding the possible cost efficiencies of both building reconfiguration and closing.
